Ladies

Who Are We?

We are an inclusive, friendly bunch of ladies who welcome new members of all ages and level of golf experience with or without a handicap. Currently there are about 70 of us who share our love of golf and the camaraderie associated with it.

The Setting

The 18 hole course is set amidst mature oaks, birches and other indigenous trees which provide a home for wild life. Unusually for a municipal club we meet in our own clubhouse, which once was the stables to Brackenwood House. It incorporates amongst its many rooms, a bar and kitchen, allowing for frequent social gatherings throughout the year, from pub quizzes to New Year Eves parties and 3 course fund raising meals. The golf shop displays some golfing equipment/accessories and very nice coffee and hot chocolate.

Competitions

We run our own competitions regularly on a Wednesday which is Ladies Day. There are also 9 hole Stableford comps and fun competitions. In addition there are regular friendly fixtures with other local clubs. The Municipal Open is due to be hosted here next year when all the municipal clubs on Wirral and Merseyside take part.
